iPad Case

So you've gotten the new, amazing Apple iPad? Fantastic! Have you thought about how you are going to protect your new investment? An iPad Case is the perfect way to carry around your iPad and keep it from damage. Several manufacturers have wasted no time in producing all kinds of iPad cases from sleeves to backpacks to messenger bags. There's a case for just about every need, from weekend warrior to top executive, you can find the case that's right for you.

Belkin, a popular manufacturer of cases, will be offering three versions of its iPad Case, all made of neoprene and all with extra space for carrying other small items. The Belkin line is not yet available for purchase, but can be seen on their website at www.belkin.com. All Belkin products come with a warranty for a year from date of purchase.

Also offering a variety of colorful neoprene sleeves is booq, with six versions of its BOA skin available for the iPad. In addition, booq has created a line of iPad cases in messenger style and in a smaller, netbook sized handbag. These are especially useful for net-book owners who will soon be carrying an iPad as well.

Not yet available, but intriguing, will be the Cocoon line of iPad Cases. Looking much like a fanny pack, but a bit larger, the Cocoon iPad/Netbook Sling can be worn over the back with the strap across the chest, decreasing stress on the lower back. The Sling is water resistant and has plenty of extra room for other accessories. The Cocoon iPad Case will be available for purchase shortly after the Apple iPad is released.

Not to be outdone, Apple has created its own version of the iPad Case. The case can be opened and used as a stand for the iPad, either vertically or horizontally. The edges are reinforced and the inner lining of the case is a soft microfiber. This case is supremely Apple; functional and stylish. This is the only iPad Case thus far that allows the user to use their iPad without removing it from its case. The Apple iPad Case will become available in early April, 2010, when the iPad is released.
